Vice President - Operation Departments

 

Our clients, one of the famous bank in Hong Kong is looking for Vice President , to join their Operations Department.

Responsibilities:

  • As an subject matter expert (SME), coach team members for performance and also act as the process owner for new business change initiatives (new market/product/trade enablement) and strategic change initiatives (market and system changes)

  • Compliant to internal policies and regulatory requirements including client monies and securities processes

  • Delegate and teach a full set of JPY Equities, JPY index futures & options, Listed Derivatives Contract operations to the team members

  • Manage overall daily settlement operations and take on a backup role to cover and support team members to ensure effective business running

  • Review the current risk control and operational processes, offer improvement suggestions to avoid operational incidents

  • Maintain good relationship with relevant internal  & external counterparties for smooth operations

 

Requirements:

  • University degree holder in any disciplines

  • Over 10 years of settlement operational experience in asset management companies, securities, brokerage firms, or custodians (prior experience in overseas equities settlement is preferable)

  • Knowledge of the full settlement cycle of capital markets products

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Knowledge and experience in operating CCASS terminal, GLOSS system, SWIFT Alliance, etc.

  • Prior project management experience such as new products or new systems introduction is highly appreciated

  • Attention to detail, accurate, punctual and customer-oriented

  • Self-motivated, responsible, independent, proactive and tenacious

  • Good interpersonal skill and capable of being a good team leader (supervisor)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Cantonese

  • Willing to accept Japanese holiday schedule
