VP - Credit Portfolio Management

 

Our client, a prestigious international bank, is looking for a candidate for the VP position in their Credit Portfolio Management team as below.

 

Position’s Overview:

Reporting to the Joint General Manager, the incumbent is expected to lead a team and provide agent bank services for Asia-based customers of syndicated lending business including term loan, revolving credit, ship finance, REIT, etc. He/she will monitor documentation control and daily operation work of loan agency team; improve workflow, efficiency and effectiveness of the team and provide guidance to agency team members.

 

Responsibilities:

Documentation Control

  •          Review loan documents to ensure our bank will have sufficient protection when performing the loan agency role.

  •          Check all loan and security documents to ensure that all documents are returned for our bank’s safe custody.

Confirm Condition Precedent and approve drawdown

  •          Liaise with legal counsels and borrowers to confirm all condition precedents are fulfilled before approving drawdown.

Regular control

  •          Liaise with legal counsels and borrowers to confirm all condition precedents are fulfilled before approving drawdown.

  •          Approve daily operation work of loan agency team, including drawdown, rollover, repayment and fee payments.

  •          Main controller on submission of financial statements, insurance policies, property valuation reports, progress reports, compliance certificates etc. as stipulated in the finance documents from the borrowers and security providers.

Waiver and requests from borrowers / security providers

  •          Process all types of waiver and/or amendment requests on the loan / security documents.

  •          Supervise colleagues to solve the problem case.

Reporting

  •          For irregular transactions, react precisely at first instance, report to the Management immediately and to seek advice if necessary, before taking any action.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above

  • Proven knowledge and experience in syndicated loan admin work.

  • Around 8 years of experience in managing loan agency work and reviewing loan documentation, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role

  • Proficient in English, Mandarin and PC skills (Word, Excel, Power Point).

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management.
