KYC Analyst (Japanese Securities firm)

We are recruiting a qualified KYC Analyst for our client as below.

 

Responsibilities

  • In charge of KYC (Know Your Client) due diligence review on new corporate and institutional client relationships and process investment trading account applications in compliant with both HK and UK regulatory requirements by requesting KYC information or documentation, reviewing, verifying received documentation, and making an analytical risk assessment for new clients

  • Conduct name screenings including discounting and processing of negative news, and PEPs for all risk rating clients

  • Coordinate and follow up with Front Office, other key stakeholders, and approvers (both HK and UK) on KYC related matters until an account is fully approved or without outstanding duties, and escalate it when appropriate ensuring speedy and smooth client on-boarding experience

  • Advice to Front Office in a timely matter in relation to HK KYC requirements

  • Assist in updating HK KYC procedure and policy documents, and HK account opening forms for various departments’ usage

  • Handle routine tasks such as SFC press release broadcasting, compliance monitoring, monthly screenings, and monthly account status reporting.

  • Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned

 

Requirements

  • University degree preferably in law, economics, finance, accounting or related disciplines

  • Over 3 years of solid and relevant client on-boarding work experience in Finance or Banking industries with good understanding of AML and CTF framework, familiar with the HK SFC regulatory requirements

  • Solid knowledge and strong understandings regarding professional investor regime would be highly preferred

  • Good interpersonal skills. A good team player, able to work together with other functions, and being able to communicate clearly within the team and externally with our colleagues in headquarters in Tokyo and affiliates in London.

  • Able to multi-tasking, determine priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment. Attention to detail, accurate, responsible, independent, proactive, and customer-oriented

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and screening software applications

  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
