Job Description

My Client is a well known investment firm and they are looking for a accounting manager for their PE fund operation team.



  • Maintain detailed books and records for the Company and its affiliated investment funds and management company entities
  • Perform financial monthly reporting and budgeting for some entities
  • Impose financial controls and regulatory compliance
  • Prepare full set of accounts and other accounting related duties
  • Ensure the correct calculations of quarterly performance report, issue capital calls and distributions amount, maintain investors’ capital accounts, calculate the Fund’s IRR, prepare regular investor reports for investment funds 
  • Maintain service relationships with auditors, tax consultants, banks and outsourcing companies
  • Involve in year-end audit and valuation of portfolio companies
  • Perform fund administration and reporting duties, including preparation of drawdown and distributions notices to investors, preparing quarterly capital accounts and financial reports of the Funds to investors and consolidated management reporting
  • Maintain financial positions of the Funds
  • Provide support to investment team in deal execution and portfolio monitoring
  • Carry out various procedures as required by our investment process, e.g. coordination of investment committee meeting and quarterly review
  • Help maintain systematic documentation of both fund and investment activities
  • Respond to enquiry from investors
  • Provide support in fundraising and new fund set-up e.g. preparation of due diligence materials, setting up new special purposes vehicles and bank accounts, reviewing subscription documents from the investors, performing KYC AML checking to new investors


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance, business or corporate administration
  • Professional accounting qualifications e.g. ACCA, AICPA
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience, with the latest 2 years gained from a financial institution or an asset management firm; some prior audit experience with big-4 firms is preferred
  • Good spreadsheet, financial, budgeting skills and strong numerical sense
  • Experience in private equity funds and/or additional qualifications in finance such as CFA would be an added advantage
  • Strong team player with high adaptability to a small team environment
  • Flexible, responsive and able to manage a diverse set of demanding priorities
  • Proactive, hands-on, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, and adaptability to a small team environment and high standards for accuracy and quality
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a must. Mandarin and Chinese writing is expected
