[Junior Level / Fresh Graduate] Equity Research Analyst (Japanese Speaking) at International Investment Firm - Hedge Fund (Long-Short Strategy)


Our client is an international leading asset management firm focusing on long-short hedge funds in Asia. They are now looking for a fluent Japanese Speaking candidate to join their talent development program in becoming an Investment Analyst in Tokyo. This opportunity will take you around different parts of the world to get you ready and gain a full experience of the role followed by a secured position in one of the many offices around the globe.


Program Details:

  • A paid talent development program which lasts for 6 months, starting off in New York office and transferring to Hong Kong office to have a closer look at regional markets.

  • You will be equipped with the skills of analyzing a company and translate that into what it means for the stock.

  • You will dive deeper into statistics, accounting, financial modeling, data analysis, coding etc.

  • You will get the opportunity to rotate among Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore offices over a 2-month period after 6 months of training.

  • You will be able to observe and understand what Analysts do on a daily basis.

  • You will gain the experience of being coached by different Portfolio Managers, learning how to research stocks and generate investment ideas.

  • After graduating from the program, you will get a position at one of the firm’s office as an Equity Research Analyst depending on your work on the rotations.



  • 1-2 years of professional experience in finance/banking/consulting industry, fresh graduates with relevant academic backgrounds will also be considered.

  • Graduates from TOP tier universities

  • Fluent in ENGLISH and JAPANESE is a must

  • With an interest to work in Buyside Firm or Hedge Fund Area

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently with strong sense of self-motivation
